Chris Horne, Toronto ON

Chris entered the Non-Profit sector after an extensive career in international banking that began in London, England.  He continued his career when he was transferred to the Caribbean where he lived and worked for several years, before moving to Canada in 1970.

In 1981, Chris was actively involved in the Capital Campaign for The St. Lawrence Centre for the Performing Arts. Chris was then involved in 1982 with the Capital Campaign for  Roy Thompson Hall and then in 1991 with The Art Gallery of Ontario Stage III Capital Campaign.

Apart from sitting on a number of arts related boards Chris has continued to successfully raise funds for a wide range of organizations both in Canada and the USA.

In 1991, Chris was appointed by The Canadian Government as Chairman of the Canadian Government funded 49th Parallel Gallery in New York City, for a two-year term.  

For the past 12 years, Chris has brought his extensive marketing background in the corporate sector to the not-for-profit sector. He has successfully organized, monitored and raised funds for such diverse charities in Education, Health Care, Museums, Performing Arts and Social Service Agencies, both large and small, from coast to coast.
