Marie Lizotte

Marie’s planned giving experience began at McGill University in 1990. By combining “donor relations” and planned giving expertise, she developed relationships with donors across Canada and the United States which continue to this day.

As a founding member of the Canadian Association of Gift Planners (CAGP), she assisted Centraide (United Way); University of Montreal, UQAM (Universite du Quebec a Montreal); Canadian Red Cross (Montreal); Children’s Hospital; Hopital Ste. Justine; Montreal Museum of Fine Arts;  and many others in establishing their planned giving programs.

In Toronto and Ottawa, Marie worked at the AGO as Campaign Director, (Art Gallery of Ontario); Branksome Hall (private school) as Executive Director of Advancement; Royal Conservatory of Music as Vice President of Development and Campaign Director; University of Ottawa Heart Institute as Director of Philanthropic Advancement; at the Canadian Red Cross as National Director – Fund Development; and at the University of Ottawa as a planned giving and staff training consultant. 

Marie has given numerous fundraising workshops and presentations through AFP (Association of Fundraising Professionals); CAISDO (Canadian Association of Independent Schools Development Officers); CASE (Council for the Advancement of Secondary Education); CAGP (Canadian Association of Gift Planners) in French and English, in Canada and in the United States.  She is respected as an ethical and donor-centered professional.
