Nancy Collett

Director, Donor Engagement Services & Senior Consultant

Toronto, ON

Nancy Collett began consulting for the not-for-profit sector in 1998. With her experience across healthcare and education, Nancy brings expertise in leading donor engagement strategies, departmental strategic planning, case development, prospect cultivation, and high-level volunteer management.

Nancy’s work with the Canadian Cancer Society helped build the planned giving program by developing professional advisor relationships and gift officer capacity to elevate and secure new planned gifts. At the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine, Nancy secured the department’s first $1 million bequest. She was honoured to work with surgical leaders at Toronto’s teaching hospitals to secure funding to advance innovative surgical research and education. Alongside the late Dr. Martin Barkin, she was the fundraising staff lead of the advancement team using targeted projects to engage surgeons and build the donor and gift pipeline. Along with her engagement of donors to secure planned gift commitments, Nancy led a robust moves management system to close significant multi-year corporate commitments. Her strategic plan targeted annual and long-term goals at $17 million.

Nancy is a driven fundraiser and thrives on opportunities to engage and empower donors through integrated proactive fundraising programs. She finds the enthusiasm of donors contagious and the jet fuel to elevate her projects.
