Katherine Blake received a degree in political science/policy studies from York University and is currently consulting to the community.  She is a talented, results-producing professional with a proven 30+ year track record of accomplishment in planning and leading comprehensive development strategies in support of business goals and objectives. In her career she has had the pleasure of working for national, provincial and local organizations.  She has held leadership positions as executive director, director of development and chief development officer for numerous charities.

Some significant projects have included: the founding of Plan Canada’s Top 20 under 20 Program, developing Cystic Fibrosis Canada’s $10M National Research Campaign and managing Covenant House’s $10M Just Like a Girl You Know (Sex Trafficking) Campaign.  Her expertise includes directing the creation of marketing and communication tools and steering the execution of development programs. She has a solid background in program development inclusive of budgets, logic models, program design and outcome measurement and demonstrated success in driving growth in targeted markets through implementation of key projects. Katherine is adept at communicating with management, board, government, donors, alumni, and internal departments to coordinate overall development efforts.

Katherine’s experience includes program and brand development, public relations, fundraising and marketing for various agencies.  Her path has provided the opportunity to manage and oversee various projects and portfolios including agency expansion, major gifts, corporate and foundation giving, government funding, planned giving, events, sponsorship, membership, communications and other programs. 

In addition, she serves as a Director for the Toronto Foundation for Student Success and the Ontario Native Women’s Foundation, and is a volunteer for the Sorauren Farmers Market.
