Suzanne Bone is a seasoned non-profit executive with expertise in fund-raising and governance. She is a certified fundraising executive and the 19th Canadian to hold the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy Fellows designation. Suzanne is a Guelph YMCA-YWCA Woman of Distinction in the Public Service category and received the 2022 Lifetime Achievement award from the Guelph Chamber of Commerce.  

Suzanne recently retired as the CEO of The Foundation of Guelph General Hospital having led the Foundation for more than 30 years, working with staff and volunteers to raise close to $90 million to help Guelph General Hospital save lives and improve health. Working with board and staff, she successfully led all fund-raising programs including events, direct response, planned giving, major gifts and capital campaigns. 

Suzanne has always been an active volunteer in her community and in her profession. She currently sits on the board of the Children’s Foundation of Guelph Wellington and the Advisory Board of the University of Guelph’s Lang School of Business. Suzanne has taught with both the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy and the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
