The essential interpersonal skills to engage in the strategic philanthropy conversation

January 20, 2022, 12 pm–1:30 pm EST

What are the skills needed to be at the table? What capacities should senior fundraising staff be able to harness to help their organization operate at the level of gift planning vs. planned giving?

In this seminar you will learn:

  • The professional skills necessary as a leadership fundraiser, including the ability to articulate the goals of your organization, acting as a partner with the donor, and demonstrating confidence and ease in conversation with donors.
  • How to engage with the others at the table with the donor, such as financial advisors, bank representatives, life insurance salespeople, and even community foundations, in a way that moves the charitable interests of the donor forward, while being aware of the role of these other influences.

Your presenters: Ken Ramsay, Peggy Killeen, Rob Henderson
